2003-10-02 - 1:36 a.m. From the beginning I have maintained that in being a musician, and having a band, that in all the work that is involved -the decades learning how to play and write good music -the allocation of finding the ideal combination of musicians to form the ideal band -the scheduling -the practicing -the mystery of booking shows -the concept, execution, and completion of the entire recording/album-putting-out process -the money -the lack of money if, in all of this rigor, IF you can reach just one person, and rock out and have them there rocking out with you on that plane of existence that you have created with your music... then it was all worth it. Recently, I believe that we have achieved this goal. But like the weed that cracks through the sidewalk only to live a brutal life of being stepped on repeatedly and shit upon by Schnauzers -yet the little weedling hangs in there and fights to live its life despite the cruelty of the world -I for one want to hang in there and see if anyone else wants to sing along.
