It's offical. I was promoted to the advertising department of the company I work for. My new job is to write product descriptions for the catalog and website, create a training manual for our department, and to write copy for newsletters.
For someone who was working the graveyard shift in the ER of a county hospital in Brooklyn earlier in this blog, this is pretty fucking sweet.
I graduated with a degree in writing 11 years ago. At last, I am a professional writer.
When I was a kid I used to read the Sears catalog with my friend Matt and we would dream about owning all of the stuff in that catalog we thought was cool. Well, now I've crossed over to the other side of those pages. It's way transcendant.
Since I will now be creating a catalog for a living, I have decided to start a "Catablog".
Then I was like, yeah, Catablog, I like that. Maybe that should be my blog? But then what would become of Strawberry Werewolf if I became Catablog?
So I've decided to incorporate Catablog as a feature of Strawberry Werewolf. There. We can all sleep easy tonight.
